Temporary Office Relocation
During construction activities the Fire Department office has been temporarily relocated to City Hall.
Services
The Bay City Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the approximate 1,600 citizens of Bay City, Oregon and assists neighboring departments in providing support and services for their residents.
Public Protection Classification
Our current public protection classification as of November 2023, is ISO Class 3.
Facilities & Equipment
Bay City Fire Department has a single station located at 9390 4th Street in downtown Bay City.
The department has two type 1 structural fire engines, one type 6 Brush Truck, and two command vehicles.
Staffing
Bay City Fire Department is a volunteer fire department staffed with approximately 20 volunteer members. The volunteers are supplemented with 2.5 career staff. All of our volunteers complete in house and/or academy training on various firefighting and emergency response subjects. Many of our volunteers are also trained to various levels of emergency medical response. We also conduct training in various technical response areas including rope rescue.
