Community Meeting for Draft 1 of Phase 2 of the Bay City TGM Development Code Evaluation and Update
COMMUNITY MEETING FOR DRAFT 1
OF PHASE 2 OF THE BAY CITY TGM CODE EVALUATION AND UPDATE
October 4, 2022
The City of Bay City will hold a Community Meeting for Draft 1 of Phase 2 of the Bay City TGM Development Code Evaluation and Update on the following date:
Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The Bay City TGM Development Code Evaluation and Update project began in 2020 with the objective of removing barriers to creating a vibrant community that supports various modes of transportation. The updated development code incorporated the following changes based on recommendation from the Phase 1 Final Action Plan (April 6, 2021). Modifications were further guided by the Phase 2 Development Ordinance Outline (last revised June 16, 2022). All changes and amendments are based on the currently adopted Development Ordinance, Ordinance 374, with proposed code language drawing from Model Development Code for Small Cities 1 and other sources as necessary.
Changes in this revised draft of the code include:
Revised structure of Article 5 to improve organization and flow.
Addition of Middle Housing (triplexes, townhouses, cottage clusters).
Addition of ADU and Cottage Cluster development standards.
Updated accessory structure height and size standards.
Updated flag lot standards.
Addition of Eating and drinking establishment and Drive In/Drive through siting standards.
Revised structure of Article 7 Type I review procedures.
Revised Parking standards.
The Community Meeting will be held in the Ad Montgomery Community Hall/Council Chambers located at 5525 B Street, Bay City, Oregon.
